Sunbury and Shepperton Arts association comprises the affiliated groups and individual members of the Riverside Arts Centre. The SSAA is run by unpaid volunteers and promotes the knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the arts in the local area. Among its many activities, the SSAA promotes the annual Sunbury & Shepperton Arts Festival (in 2011, Saturday 9 July — Sunday 17 July), which incorporates a series of events in the performing arts, visual arts, craft, literature, and children’s events. Other activities promoted by SSAA include Morning Coffee Concerts and the Sunbury & Shepperton Young Musician Competition.
