Access at The Riverside Arts Centre

It is the policy of the Riverside Arts Centre Management Committee to  make all the facilities of The Riverside Arts Centre available to as wide an audience as possible. To do this we  provide:

Easy Access

Easy access ,without steps, to the Arts Centre, The Studio and the ground floor of the Craft Centre is available.

The easy entry entrance doors are to be found in the passageway alongside the old bank building.

Access to the Bar in the Arts Centre is via The Studio entrance.

A wheelchair  lift, in The Studio, enables easy access to the meeting rooms on the first floors of both the Arts Centre and The Studio.

Wheelchair spaces are available at most events. Please  advise the appropriate box office if a space is required.

An Induction Loop is provided in the main hall of The Arts Centre for audience members using a hearing aid. Switch your hearing aid to T to use this facility.

Adapted toilets

Adapted toilets are available in both The Arts Centre and The Studio.

Parking

Although there are no general parking spaces at The Riverside Arts Centre, disabled parking may be available at the discretion of the Trustees. A set down space adjacent to the  side entrance door can be arranged.

Guide dogs are welcome

 

Parking at RAC.

The Riverside Arts Centre is owned by Spelthorne Borough and leased to The Riverside Arts Centre Ltd.

The lease with the Council allows up to three Director's vehicles to be parked in the yard adjacent to the Centre.  No other vehicle may be parked in the yard.  The lease requires that a clear space is left in the yard at all times so that vehicles bringing people or delivering goods to the Riverside Arts Centre can turn round and exit onto Thames Street in a forward direction. Reversing onto Thames Street is depreciated.

In accord with the lease the Riverside Arts Centre cannot sanction Groups or individuals to use the yard  as a parking space.
